The Albano Ballet Company is located in the heart of Hartford, Connecticut, in a Victorian style carriage house with a tradition of over 80 years of dance and educative training.
Legendary actress Katherine Hepburn is just one of the many stars who studied dance on the premises over the years.
Conveniently located halfway between New York and Boston, the combination of the building's historical charm, fully equipped dance studios with permanent bars, mirrors, air conditioning and ample off-street parking makes this facility one of the most stimulating dance spaces in New England! Unlike the cold, sterile new schools permeating the dance field, Albano Ballet maintains an "old world" ambiance.
The Albano Ballet Company is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization.
The Parents & Friends of the Albano Ballet Company provide support and fund raising efforts.

"Albano's stars are wonderful to watch.
The flowing movements, the lyrical lifts and the graceful classical effects all show how demanding is the training received from Albano."
The West Hartford News April 1986
Mr. Albano presents a systematic approach to learning the dance based on his "theory of rotors" and the "law of centers."
Preschoolers begin with rhythmic training, coordination, basic pre-ballet, and creative movement elements for the 4 to 6 year old.
The more intense preparatory Ballet A and B are offered for the 6 to 7 year old.
Afternoons and Saturdays are relegated for the preschool and children's sessions.
Daily afternoon and evening sessions as well as Saturday lessons are offered for children, teenagers and adults.
In the early years of instruction, the goal is to train the student to become aware of kinetic transference before learning the dance steps. Therefore, Dance Theory is recommended as an important addition to the students' weekly program.
